At the 1st May 2002 demonstration in Munich there were Iranians of
the Organisation of the Iranian People's Fedayee Guerrillas. This
seems to be an Iranian left-wing militant organisation, mainly in
exile. Recently, this has been added by the European Union to the
list of terrorist organizations.
Marcus Schmöger, 12 June 2002
The movement use a logo showing a globe with the outlined map of Iran, charged with hammer and sickle and an arm with a Kalashnikov; at the top a star, at the bottom an inscription (the name of the organisation, probably).
This inscription, however, comes in two variants in the flags seen in Munich:
White flag with the logo in red.
Red flag with the logo in yellow.
Marcus Schmöger, 12 June 2002
The inscription of both flags reads the same (it is only written in a
different style). It reads Sāzmān-e CHarik-hā-ye Fedā`i-e KHalq-e Irān;
double capital letters denote one
original letter in Arabo-Persian alphabet)
Translation:
Organization of the Fedā`i-Militias of the Iranian People.
